The “It feels like an oven” Walk aka My Actifit Report Card: June 8 2022
Holy Smokes! I am surprised by how brutal summer temps are so early in the season. We usually don’t see sustained triple digits until July and August. To see these temps in early June is cause for alarm.
If it only gets hotter in July and August I am not looking forward to being in the great outdoors over the next few months. Which means as of today I am shifting a portion or perhaps all of my walking to the cooler morning hours. This morning I walked over 3K steps in my neighborhood. And then walked an additional 3K this evening. I think I will see if I can get all 5K plus steps in the morning and not walk in the evenings. I’ll kick this off with a 5K morning step count goal tomorrow.
