My Actifit Report Card: November 29 2021

The flood waters in the valley are a bit lower, that’s a good sign……..for today!
Flooding, but less than two weeks ago!
The news reporters down in Seattle are reporting “mild to moderate flooding” this time.
Tell that to the homeowners that had their home flooded a second time!🤔
More rain coming……just not today.
Jan called to see what time we were planning to hike……
“Can we start at 2:30?”
Silvertop wad pulling Christmas tubs out of the garage attic, getting ready to decorate the tree earlier today……..
“Hello” in broken English……
I was met by an older gentleman in my garage.
He was short in stature, stooped over, and a bit frail from old age.
He was very insistently asking me something in another language!🤔
“I’m sorry I don’t understand?”
I called to Liz, her boss is Russian, it sounds like Russian Honey.
Liz has an amazing voice translator on her IPhone.
She asked “how can we help you”, translated to Russian.
He didn’t understand……..
Liz finally called her boss, he speaks Ukrainian.
Her boss said….. “you have an elderly Ukrainian man in your garage?”☺️
He had gotten turned around by the flooding in the valleys, and was trying to get to Canada up our dead end old logging road!😮
Her boss told him the border crossing is closed at Sumas, and many roads are flooded and also closed.
The gentleman said “Thank you…..Beautiful here!”
He was going back to the main city of Bellingham to try another route.
“That was interesting Liz, and we didn’t even start our hike yet!😊
Life is an adventure, till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊
