Silvertop is in a transition with our internet…..😇
Ziply fiber lately has become so unreliable, and slow………….
“Liz is our internet OUT again!”🤔
For the past three to four weeks, we have had our internet go out at least once a day, sometimes four to five times a day!🙄
“Honey turn on your hotspot, Ziply is down AGAIN Lol!”😍
T-Mobile was a bust, they promised us high speeds, along with three or four other providers.
Living in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains can be challenging my friends!
Internet, or should I say lack of Internet, can be like living in the “ dark ages” Lol!
It was time for Starlink!😊
A roadtrip to visit our youngest son and his wife that live close to Seattle, is tentatively planned for Friday.
Our new Starlink installation needed to be up and running ASAP!
As they say….. “time is of the essence!”☺️
It’s definitely a benefit living deep in the forest, you don’t have neighbors shaking their heads at you, thinking Silvertop has lost it Lol!🤣
With our new Starlink modem sitting “OUTSIDE” our patio door, I powered it up to an outside AC outlet.
A router that controls our smart house controls via Alexa, was placed next to the Starlink, as well……………
“Liz hold on to the router and the cable, I’m going to drag the other end up onto the roof!”😍
The starlink receiver dish comes with a kickstand specifically designed for temporary use like this!🤣
That’s where we were headed my friends…..😇
This kickstand is later removable for installation of the the permanent rooftop polemount kit.
With my iPhone in my hand, I ran a speed test…….
409 Mbps upload speed………….
Liz has seen even better on her laptop!😍
I found “Cot” my “Baby Mountain Lion” staring out the patio door at the cable ……….😻
“Don’t worry my boy, when Mom and Dad get back from visiting your cousin “Phoenix” I will get rid of that cable blocking your view of the Forest!😇
“It’s working honey, our somewhat “smart home” is up and running!🤗
“Silvertop are you taking any pictures!”🥰
I don’t think so, let’s just wait till our Starlink is bolted completely down Lol”😇
