While parts of the U.S. are digging out from a winter snowstorm, Silvertop is enjoying a Springtime hike in the Pacific Northwest!😎
I asked Chat GPT, how bad was this storm?😮
“Silvertop, in your hometown of Cincinnati, the greater Cincinnati airport recorded approximately 10.2 inches of snow over Sunday/Monday! They were dumped on!”😳
Guys it’s all relative………….😇
With 10.2 inches of snow here at our house in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, “ALL” roads would be impassable for a week! No garbage pickup, no Mail service, no deliveries, NO emergency services!😳
Back in “Cincy” roads with 10 inches of snow would be salted, and plowed, before I could take my first sip of coffee in the morning!😇
The greater Cincinnati Metro area encompasses 2.25 to 2.3 million people. The City has a labyrinth of twisting, very steep streets, that are all cleared usually the next day!😊

I again asked Chat GPT…….”Why is snow removal so much more efficient in Cincinnati, is it funding, or manpower?”
“Silvertop it comes down to what is acceptable……. In the Pacific Northwest road closures for snow or ice are treated with less urgency…….More of a laid back West Coast approach to snow removal… even with storms that can produce severe snowfall!”
