“That’s Some Serious Wood……Dude!”😳
Silvertop is starting to see the light at the end of the firewood cutting tunnel Lol!😇
With long stretches of rain, this project has had its challenges!😅☔️
Silvertop is finally closing in on the end, well at least the end of the chainsaw part!
Silvertop still has plenty to hand split!💪☺️
The fourth photo is where this all began, and the first three are where I am at today!😅
Today Silvertop reached the point where my 20 inch chainsaw can’t cut completely through the rounds at the base of this very large Big Leaf Maple tree!😮
I cut 3/4 of the way through the round, then I carry my idling chainsaw around to the other side, and begin again, to be able to finish cutting off another round!🙄
Thud…………….an extremely heavy round fell to the ground!🙄
It landed in a depression of very prickly Blackberries!😬
Silvertop pushed…. and then pulled… it wasn’t moving!
This round was so heavy, I could barely roll it!🤔
OUCH………numerous Blackberry thorns were sticking to Silvertop, maybe that’s why this heavy round didn’t want to roll Lol!😇
Finally it rolled fifteen feet into the back yard!
That’s OK, I can work with where it’s now at Lol!☺️
Next step……..to be able to place this massively heavy chunk of wood in my wheelbarrow, Silvertop needed to “Split” chunks off this round to lighten it, so I could pick it up!😇😅
My first strike with my trusty Fisker‘s 27X AX …….bounced!
Ohhh………………………..😳
A second hard strike, and another bounce!😬
A third strike, and now I could see a slight crack!
Silvertop braced himself, stood back, and let the full power of his X27 AX fly!………………😬
“Awesome splitting……Dude!”🐸
Thanks PEPE, where have you been all day?”😇
“Silbertop, it time fer hike…….Man!”🐸
