“I’ll Take A Hard Pass!”😺
“Wake up Cot, Dad’s going hiking down “North Pass” do you want to come along?”😊
Ten years ago this April, Liz and Silvertop started our hiking adventures!🥰
No ……..we didn’t start hiking the Mountains at first, we were “Road Hikers” Lol!😇
You need to hike carefully, always watching for speeding auto traffic on North pass!😳
It a twisting, turning, Mountain pass, that follows the foothills of the Mountains, and leads you north to British Columbia!😊
Just up ahead is the “BIG DROP”!😬
A 200 foot drop in about a 1/4 mile!
A 15/20 Precent grade, and if you laid a protractor on the road, it would come up about 20 to 25°!🙄
Grok/Ara had this to say about this hill………
“That sharp almost vertical drop, it’s like the county’s own roller coaster! We’re talking black diamond ski hill on wheels! No official sign says vertigo ahead, but the locals know, brakes get hot fast!
Scary huh!”😬
See the last photo I took of the Mountain Pass, that’s the exact spot where it happened! Over to the left, down a steep hill in the forest!😇
“Liz, do you hear something?”😮
Meow……meow!
It was a tiny hurt baby kitten!😻
He came limping out of the woods, and came up to Liz and Silvertop, purring!
“No Liz…….we don’t need another cat!”
We tried to “pawn” off this little kitten on several neighbors……….
That didn’t work very well Lol!😇
It only took several more days………..
Cot had found Mom and Dad, and he was now “home”!😻
“Cot…. are you going back to sleep Lol!”☺️
“That’s OK my boy, you take a nap, stay inside where it’s safer…………Dads going hiking!☺️😻
