First Stop….The Mountains!🤗
“Liz are you sure we didn’t buy tickets for the “Polar Express”, and I certainly hope that isn’t our train engineer in the second photo Lol!”😳
I snapped so many awesome photos from our historic train ride over the weekend, that I wanted to share some more on today’s post!😊
The sign at the ticket office, stated that this Railroad, and the Museum, are maintained and supported, by donations, and tourists ………..
I’m sure that this can be challenging…………
Old Railway and engine parts, are probably individually handcrafted as needed! How do you even begin to look for a trained steam engine mechanic?🙄
Liz and Silvertop have been Railroad fans for years, but it has been a while since we have been on board for a ride!
The steady rocking back and forth of the passenger cars, seems to be quite different from car to car, and changes also with the position of the car on the train.😇
If you are susceptible to sea sickness, a train ride probably isn’t your cup of tea, but for the Silvertop family it’s like being a kid again!🤗
Liz tells me as a child her and her parents, travelled from Cincinnati to North Carolina on a train. It was a three day adventure, and Liz was still “Rocking” three days after they all arrived Lol!”🤣😇😮
I leaned out the window of the simply gorgeous 1912 mahogany passenger car to take a video………………….
“Silvertop, they told us to stay INSIDE the car on the ride!”🥰
“Honey, I am inside the car……mostly Lol!”😇

The train wheels clicking on the track, has a very relaxing sound!☺️
Have a seat right over here on one of these original 1912 plush velvet seats…..and enjoy!🤗
