Barcelona through! United on the brink of Group stage exit!

This week has been quite interesting with the Champions league ties! Lots of juicy stories shaped up so let's dive right into it!

Barcelona 2-1 Porto

Barca has been horrid to say the least over the past few weeks. They've dropped a lot of points in the La Liga, despite a lot of those being due to refereeing errors. But it doesn't change the fact that Barca have played really poorly and never looked like really deserving to win any of the games. And to pile up on their own misery they lost away to Shaktar in the last Champions league game week. Memories of last year were definitely haunting the Barca fans and a 3rd straight exit from the group stages was definitely on the cards.

And the start to the Porto match didn't do anything to ease our nerves. Quite the opposite in fact! We were handed our hearts in our hands as Porto took the lead within 30 minutes and deservingly so!

And I think that is when something just clicked Barcelona! Within the next two minutes through some individual brilliance from Joao Cancelo we were level! Joao Cancelo undoubtedly played his best game for Barcelona since joining on loan on deadline day! The question needs to be asked is Left back actually his best position in this Barca team. He was our best player on the pitch by far!

Joao Felix scored the second goal in the second assisted by who else but Joao Cancelo! That turned out to be the winning goal. Felix is a strange case. He missed some absolute sitters (nothing new for him), hit the post with a powerful shot from outside the box (again, nothing new - he's been hitting the post almost every game!) and then finally scored the winning goal before being subbed off. A lot of fans and sofa scoring will disagree with me, but Felix has not played a good game at all. He had a lot of flair but no substance, no end product. And without that, all the flair and glimpses of brilliance means nothing.

In the end, 3 points and a spot in the round of 16 secured for the first time since Messi Left!

Newcastle robbed at Paris!

This definitely is the story of the week! Newcastle looked all set to beat PSG and almost knock them out of the Champions league when an absolutely hilarious and ridiculous refereeing decision saw PSG get a last minute penalty to equalize and now it's Newcastle who looks set to exit from the group stages. The refereeing is just so corrupt, they are not even trying to hide it anymore.

PSG is shit, and there's nothing you can do that will make me change my opinion on that. Even if they somehow win the Champions League this year, I can guarantee it will be due to referees cheating and helping them, and DEFINITELY BY NOT THEIR QUALITY - Because they do not have any fucking quality. This team is a disgrace to football and they should just shut shop and sell some coffee or shit. Football is not for PSG. Rid us of this corruption.

Man United 3-3 Galatasaray

The blockbuster game of the week! a 6 goal thriller sees Manchester united on the brink of group stage exit again. And after having a two goal lead TWICE in the game......

....they are almost knocked out of the group stages. Thanks to their Goalkeeper Onana! Everytime Man United needs ONaNa to step up and make a sahve, he's like - "O Na Na brother, I don't do that shit anymore!"

This two Barcelona loan signings have been performing wonders for the team, I hope they get to sign a permanent deal, they've been proving themselves week in week out, outstanding lads.
As for Manchester United, I statement my reserve😒.

they've been proving themselves week in week ou

I actually don't agree with this. Except for the first 3 games, both Joao cancelo and Joao Felix has been extremely disappointing. Felix had one more good game in the middle, can't remember against which team. But other than that they have not shined at all up until this week against Porto which was Joao cancelo's best in the Barca shirt so far.

As for felix, he was brought in to score goals, to create clear chances. He has not done either. He has missed too many open goals costing us lot of points, he has hit the post too many times, might call him unlucky but at the end of the day he doesn't have a lot of goals to his name. He has also not created any significant chances for his teammates when in fact there were a lot of opportunities for him to pass the ball to a team mate who was in a better position to score a goal - but instead he was selfish and chose to shoot himself and spoil the play.

So my rating for the Joaos so far this season -

Cancelo - 6/10
Felix 3/10
