PSG was not effective at defense or offense, before Mbapee enter the game there was no response from PSG, yes Neymar had two clear attempts for goal but was not effective.

Every athlete has a peak in the cicle and it looks like Neymar and Messi hit that peak after the World Cup, not all athletes are the same, they have a good training camp, perform at their best, stay flat or start to decrease their performance for sometime, then it takes them some time to recover and that is exactly what I think is going on with Messi and Neymar, this is just my opinion.

Ok, I know I just complain a lot about the PSG but its very disappointing but the game was not boring at all, Bayern Munich brought an excellent top notch Futbol game, they were constantly touching the ball, their game was fluent and their first goal was so clean after a defensive error from PSG leaving Coman alone.

After this goal Bayern never stop pushing again with excellent opportunities from Choupo-Moting at minute 61 and 62, you might think that after dominating the game Bayern would try to just keep the ball and hold their advantage but that was never the plan, if this is the level of futbol they going to bring on every match they look like a good contender for the cup.

At minute 57 Kylian Mbapee enters the field and right away there was an injection of speed on the game, he was not suppose to play on this game but non the less PSG couch I think felt force if not they might loose this game 2 - 0 at home, 15 minutes latter after Kylian enters the game we see his first attempt for goal and fails to define in front of Bayer Munich goal keeper, the ball bounce back to Neymar who attempts to score from the inside of the danger zone and was stoped TWICE, I think for Messi it was a bad game because he had very little possession of the ball but Neymar must be frustrated, probably at least 4 fail goal attempts, and finally the ball lands in Mbapee feet who very intelligent at the moment was position in front of the goal and scores!!!

To sadly then find out he was offside. After 72 minutes into the game this was the first real attack from PSG and was initiated by Mbapee speed and control of the ball, almost 10 minutes latter comes a similar opportunity.

Diallo who started been very active with Kylian gets the ball running from the left side of the field and start looking at the middle of the area, usually looking for Mbapee or Messi, Diallo makes the pass very close to Bayern goal keeper and filters to Mbapee for him to score again.

The stadium goes crazy, Mbapee and Neymar starts celebrating to only find out he was offside again, this game was turning into a nightmare and at this point was probably better to just hold the defense line and end it but the PSG is still a very competitive team, keep in mind that even that Bayern is the one that won the game and dominate the mid field, the game was never boring, it was constantly active and full of action.

PSG will bounce back, better bounce back, from what I have seen so far this is most likely a management problem either at training or during the game strategy, after the game I find out that Messi was not at his 100% probably a minor injure but Kylian was too, they have enough talent to bounce back but its clear that the backbone of PSG are Kylian and Messi.
