My Actifit Report Card and Update: January 17 2022

Hi Actifitters,

I hope everyone is having a good week so far. It has been uneventful here since my previous update. I haven't done anything too much different. A little bit of grocery shopping and taking Mango the dog for his usual walks has been my main source of activity. I have done a few things round the house like painting a section of the upstairs hall. I didn't do anything around the outside of the house. However, winter has been so mild so far that it would have been possible.

I have spent some time working on Hive posts. I wrote two posts since my previous Actifit Report and Update. One post was a recap of the 2021 cryptocurrency bull run and the other post was about Omicron.

The 2021 bull run played out very well for Hive. It started the year with a price of just 11 cents and ended the year with a price above US$1.50. In November, the price rose above US$3. It is great to see Hive, an undervalued coin finally reach prices more consistent with what it offers. There were several other coins that pumped very hard at times during the year. Some of them experienced price increases by the magnitude of 10 or even 100. Bitcoin did not have a great year but the price still increased by over 50%. 2022 could be another good year for cryptocurrency. I believe the bull run still has some energy left in it. However, I doubt it will last the whole year. Some coins could be hit very hard in the next bear market.

In my other post, I wrote about the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron. I believe Omicron will bring the Covid-19 chaos to an end. Omicron is taking over as the dominant variant and the number of positive Covid-19 tests are surging. This may sound bad but it is good. Omicron is a milder form of the virus. People are less likely to be seriously ill if they catch it and it should also help build people's immunity to other variants. The most significant good news is that the Government and media will struggle to continue their fearmongering campaigns. They will also not be able to justify maintaining restrictions or be able to continue pushing for the implementation of vaccine passes/certificates. At last, the Covid-19 nightmare is coming to an end.

That brings my Actifit Report and Update to an end. I will be beginning another Buying and Selling Game Contest soon and I will also be making my Super Bowl predictions for this season; a little later than usual.
