My Actifit Report Card and Update: September 16 2022

Hi Everyone,

We have reached the end of the week. I have been busy with the Challenge Series. The final challenge has been posted. All that's left are the results. The results post are more difficult as they require more work. Many of them have videos and specially designed Excel Models. The extra effort is to try and keep the challenges as fair as possible.

Error in the Results of Challenge 4

I just posted the results for Challenge 4: Game Theory. This challenge requires participants to select boxes. The value of the boxes are shared amongst those that select them. Therefore, the value that each participant receives changes as more participants enter. Therefore, the possible winner changes as well with each new entry.

When I calculated the results, I accidently missed out one participant. This was pointed out by one of the participants in the comment section. I have recalculated the results and we now have a different winner. This is quite frustrating as I have already paid the first announced winner. I will update the post with the new results and reward the new winner. I will also announce how this affects the Challenge Series leaderboard. I will have to pay up for this mistake.

Challenge 7

The other post for the week was Challenge 7: Pick-a-door. This is the final Challenge for this year's Challenge Series. This challenge allows participants to select 4 of 12 doors that may have a prize behind them. This prize is measured in dollars. The prize value and probability are inversely related (i.e. a high valued prize has a low percentage of being behind the door). The winner will be the participant with the highest combined value from the doors they open minus the cost of opening each door as long they do not open 2 or more doors that have zero value.

There are only 2 days left in the Challenge. The prize is 60 Hive based on the high participation rate.

That wraps up this week's Actifit Report and Update. Next week, I'll be announcing the winners of Challenges 5 and 6. The race to become the Challenge Series Champion is still very close. I am expecting that the winner will be determined in the final challenge.
