My Actifit Report Card and Update: April 27 2025

Hi Everyone,

I’m back with another Actifit Report and Update. It has been a little while since my previous update. My updates have been a little infrequent this year. I’ve been spending much more time on my @captainhive account. I had so much momentum writing the Sapien Loop short stories, I decided to remain focused on it. I have now finished the short stories, well ahead of planned. I’ll be returning to this account (@spectrumecons) to write my economics content. I’m beginning by discussing how my Sapien Loop series relates to real life.

We finally had some rain but too much of it. I needed it for the grass seeds that I scattered in Hamlet’s area to grow. It appears some have taken root. I’ll see how it goes, but I think I’ll need to throw down some more, as the crows had a go at them during the dry spell.

There have been reports in the media about geoengineering projects in the UK. It’s a bit strange since the UK has been practicing geoengineering for years. They discuss dimming the sun with artificial clouds. The sun was dimmed almost all of last year. It felt like the dullest year ever. I can’t see anyone in their right supporting this madness. It’s like they want to recreate the movie ‘Snowpiercer’. Spraying chemicals high up in the atmosphere could create an environmental disaster. I discuss this in my 2022 post ‘Our Relationship with the Environment’. It’s crazy that we live in a world where Governments are actively trying to destroy our environment and even crazier that citizens will just willingly fund this through their tax money.

My Content

I wrote what should be my final Sapien Loop short story for this first collection. That’s 12 short stories plus a bonus blog from a character. Later this year, I will compile the short stories into a book. I will also work on character profiles. The series has many interesting characters. I think a brief description of them would be helpful. After that, I’ll begin on book 3 (the final book). I won’t start that until next year. I am hoping the short stories and character profiles will build some anticipation for the final book.

On this account, I’ve started another Sapien Loop quiz. I’ve received a pretty good response so far. I think I have had seven entries in just two days. It would be great if I could get this up to twelve in the remaining eight days it is running. The responses have been pretty good. Several participants have answered a high percentage of questions correctly.

I posted another post on this account. This one also relates to Sapien Loop. I’ve started a series of posts linking the fictional world of Sapien Loop to our world. I started by discussing civilisation and social cycles. The backbone of the Sapien Loop world is that it runs on cycles, or, as I say in the book, loops. Whatever happened before will happen again but in a slightly different way. The rest of the series will cover parts of the book that mirror parts of our own world.
