My Actifit Report Card and Update: May 24 2025

Hi Everyone,

I’m back with another Actifit Report and Update. I feel that I do these a little too infrequently these days. I’ve been busy writing long posts linking my Sapien Loop books and stories to reality. I should have two more of these posts to go. So far, I’ve posted four of these posts, and I posted two since my previous update.

In the first of these two posts, I wrote about Sapien society and family and the resemblance to our own. Our families have become smaller and more fragmented. I feel it is safe to conclude that this is deliberate.

In Sapien Loop, family bonds are kept intentionally weak. Parents are coaxed into sending their children to daycare so that they are free to work. When older, they are forced to spend a minimum number of hours in school. After that, they are encouraged to get jobs or continue with education. This nearly always involves moving to another region. This is because of the limited capacity and opportunities within their own region.

In the second post, I looked at technology. Sapey is considerably more technologically advanced than our world. It has advanced in areas such as energy, AI, virtual reality, and genetic engineering. Interestingly, it is less advanced in aviation.

A very important aspect of this post is the motivation to advance technology. Great inventions could come from anyone from anywhere, but only those with access to large amounts of funding can adequately pursue the development and proliferation of new technology. This is very important because only a few can shape the direction of technological development. This is a possible reason why new technology is often as detrimental as it is helpful.

Went Out For A Bit of Fun

Last week was my sister’s birthday. We went into the city to play an escape room. The escape room was Titanic-themed. This is only the second escape room I’ve attempted. My sister is a seasoned escape room player. She has escaped many other escape rooms. My mum and brother joined us. They have the same limited experience as myself.

Our escape room did not go so well. We were stuck on the early challenges for a long time. We needed a bit of help. The clues were a lot more vague than the other escape rooms we did.

After a long struggle, we finally made it to the final room, but we were missing a key. The final few minutes ran out, and we sadly lost.

The next day, we went to the cinema. This is rare for us these days. We tend to watch Netflix. The cinema down the road is a bit old, but it has character. It’s also more affordable than the other cinemas.

We watched Final Destination Bloodlines. This is the sixth installment of the thriller/horror franchise. I’ve seen the first five films. They are pretty memorable as the story is different from any other film series. The story telling is generally pretty good. The deaths are always over the top, but that is part of the appeal.

The sixth film managed to outdo the other other films in terms of dramatic and gory deaths. It could be a bit much for some people, but this should be expected. The story telling was good, and it tied in reasonably well with the first five films.

This film could be used to finish the series as it tied things up well, but there is the potential for prequels given how events branched off from the first event that triggered the whole thing. I won’t say anymore; I don’t want to spoil the fun.

That wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. I wish everyone a great weekend. I hope to be back a little sooner next time. A new quiz will be coming soon too. I recommend popping by sometime next week to check it out.
