ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #8 - Show Us Your Hobbies
Hello everyone, Lester here! I am participating in ASEAN Hive Community Challenge of Sharing Your Hobbies. This hobby of mine started around 2014 I think and been doing this all year round. It has been stopped during the pandemic but thankfully, I got to do this again this year. Without further ado, I want to share my hobby of playing Ultimate Frisbee.
Ultimate!
Ultimate or Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact, self-officiating (non-professionally) sport and maybe not yet popular around the globe. But this sport has so many events around the world and even have a professional league called AUDL | American Ultimate Disc League.
I got hooked up to this game after a colleague from school introduced the game to me. We trained and participated to locally leagues and International leagues hosted here in the Philippines.

Here is my first International League called Manila Spirits. This was in 2017 and held in Manila, Philippines.
I have also joined night leagues like this one that was held in Emperador Stadium, Mckinley in the Philippines.
We also tried joining leagues in the province and these pictures were taken at Pampanga, Philippines.

This game can be played on grass or sand and this one was taken at San Juan, La Union, Philippines.
And can be played in three (3) divisions - Mens, Womens and Mixed Divisions. This one is a Mixed division and we won the championship. 🏅
And also, this was where I met my wife. 😍

Very cool, I used to play ultimate frisbee for fun with friends when I was a young. Before I left the USA 12 years ago, I used to enjoy playing disc golf. The NERDS jerseys really gave me a laugh.
Friendly tip - I noticed you're not taking time for genuine engagement on Hive. I highly recommend you read, comment, and vote on 10 posts for every post you publish. That is a good guide for newbies, and it will help keep Hive and the ASEAN Hive Community sustainable and social. Engagement is much more than just replying "thanks" and "nice post." Longterm ASEAN Hive members must maintain a basic level of engagement to remain in the community. Thanks for understanding.

Even there I see little genuine engagement in your comment history, only leaving a comment to notify you're joining a challenge. I couldn't even find a comment you've ever made that is longer than one line. My two comments with you are longer than any comments you've ever written on Hive, just sayin'.

What a great hobby to have. Get fit and have fun. Then to go on and play in championships is fantastic. Well done to you. That's a great action shot. And to meet your wife there? Amazing.
