After both teams bumble the fist game, Lakers and Bucks advance with 4 straight wins

Do you remember how me and basically any other sports writer was so shocked that both number 1 seeds lost their first playoff game against a team that they really should have whooped and swept in 4 straight games? Do you remember how I speculated how I thought it was simply a fluke and the enthusiasm of even being in the playoffs was going to wear off after game one? Well that is kind of what happened as both the Lakers and the Bucks showed the Magic and Blazers who the boss is.

I chose the above picture because it looks kind of "fruity," which is something you can get fined for saying on the court these days.

The Lakers won by 9 and the bucks won by more than a score in their final, and 4th victory with their number 8 seeded opponents. I didn't watch all of all of the games but if you watch the highlights and know anything about basketball, the games were pretty one-sided affairs after game one.

Portland kept is a bit more competetive looking at least, as they went to the halftime team talks with a level score of 68. Things fell apart for them a bit in the 3rd and despite a great 4th quarter performance, the Lakers maintained control to end the Blazers chances of advancing - which basically everyone, including probably most of the Blazers team, didn't really think was going to happen anyway.

Carmelo Anthony, a forward for the Blazers, looked particularly amazing as he finished with 27 points, and was 3-4 with 3 pointers. He also went 6-7 from the free throw line.

I suppose they gave it their all but the Lakers proved that game one was a fluke as L.A. went on to win every game aside from the first by double digits and 2 of them by 20 or more points.

Over with Orlando vs Milwaukee the games past game 1 never really looked like The Magic really ever had a shot at this. While the Bucks didn't exactly run up the score there were many times as though it appeared in the later stages of the game that they had transitioned over to a defensive approach and weren't really even running the court looking for big victories anymore. This was particularly true in game 3 where the Bucks ended the first half up 70 to 43 and in the second half the Magic's offense didn't really even show much of a sign of adjustments, the Bucks just stopped being as aggressive and still cruised to an easy 14 point victory.

I also chose the above picture because it looks kinda funny. I'm not judging, if there were any shots of me playing sports I am certain I would look just as silly, ok, probably a lot more silly but with less tattoos and muscles.

Personally, I think that Orlando should have been giving a victory by forfeit when the Bucks were mostly responsible for the league getting shut down again due to protests. Of course the league didn't do that because they are bowing to any social justice movement now, which I think is a mistake because it is losing fans and also empowering / encouraging players to act up.

The Lakers are likely going to face the Rockets in the next round and the Bucks are already going to face the Heat. I predict Milwaukee makes quick work of Miami, while LA will struggle a bit with Houston. However, I predict that bot advance with the Bucks doing so with straight victories barring any sort of injury.

Im not watching the games, just some highlights here and there and only because of the lockdown. I used to like basketball and my disdain for it now doesn't have much to do with the politics in it, I dunno... it just doesn't seem as entertaining and it might be the absence of a crowd that is partly to blame. From what i have seen I would say the Bucks look likely to win it all. I just want LeBron to lose by any means necessary. There's just something about his arrogance that gets under my skin.

I don't think I have ever been as disinterested in an NBA playoffs as I am this year. I actually find your writeups about the games far more interesting than the actual games.

no real surprise there. What is surprising is the way that the Heat are dominating the Bucks
