This is something that could seriously impact the future of a kid. I knew a guy in high school that really didn't have much going for him: Poor family life, no father, did poorly in class, but absolutely killed it on the football field. If his senior year had been eliminated he would have had seriously limited opportunities in life.
I just feel bad for the players that don't have the resources to move like these kids did.

I don't know the specifics of these particular athletes. I would imagine that their families are quite affluent or they wouldn't be able to afford to make this happen. Now let's imagine how many more there are that didn't have this as a choice.
I'd like to think that the universities would make allowances for this sort of thing but if half of the high schools are shut and the other half aren't - which is a totally made up statistic of course - then the closed ones are at a massive disadvantage for sure. Some of the guys I went to high school with didn't truly start to shine until their senior year so yeah, I think that there were probably a lot of people that were negatively affected by this
