Transgender swimmer beats competitors by 38 seconds: USA swimming to change rules

When transgenders were given the green light by certain athletic commissions to compete in women's sports I knew that we were headed towards disaster. The social justice warriors that deny men's physical dominance in all sports are simply kidding themselves when they tried to suggest that if someone takes hormone therapy that they somehow are not going to have a huge advantage.

I'm the type of person that is completely willing to accept people's life choices and this extends to transgenders. I don't think that they should be allowed to negatively impact the lives of other athletes though and this is what we are seeing time and time again. In this particular situation, the victory was so one sided that it simply cannot be ignored. Swimming heats are decided by seconds, or fractions of a second. It is totally abnormal for someone to win by nearly a full minute or an entire length of the pool.

It was already determined that men have a distinct advantage in most competitive sports and swimming was never an exception to this. The top ranked biologically female swimmers in the United States would rank below 500 if their times were compared to the men's division. This isn't sexist, it is a fact.

Lia had previously competed in the men's division and did reasonably well but was never going to be a top performer. Lo' and behold, once transitioning to female, she is absolutely dominating the competition. The criteria for allowing transgender athletes is based solely on testosterone levels but honestly, this isn't enough to be considered truly fair. Men naturally have much more power and ok, some of this is based on testosterone, but there are other factors at play such as muscle development that occurred prior to their transitioning.

The USA Swimming Association has amended the eligibility criteria to make it so a transgender athlete's testosterone levels must be below a certain level for 36 months in order to qualify but in my mind this isn't enough. Just imagine if your daughter or sister had trained their asses off for years in order to have a chance at perhaps Olympic glory only to have it taken away from them by someone that has a natural biological advantage. An advantage that cannot possibly be replicated by any amount of training or practice. Is this fair?

Caitlyn Jenner, who is the most famous transgender of all time methinks, has spoken out, surprisingly, against allowing transgender athletes to compete in female sports stating “Her hands are bigger. She can swim faster. That's a known.”

The fact that this is even something that is being discussed remains very strange to me and I know that it is tough for these organizations to state the obvious out of fear of the woke mob's backlash, but it needs to be done. It simply isn't fair.

Have you ever asked yourself why it is that there aren't any female to male transgender athletes? Because they would get destroyed, that's why. It is a one way street as far as all of this is concerned and eventually the United States and the world is going to have to admit that this simply cannot be allowed. If transgenders want to compete I say let them compete but only against other transgender athletes. If this was the only option available I would all but guarantee that there would be no takers..... why? Because they would no longer have an unfair advantage.

If someone out there can come up with a calm, coherent, and sane explanation to how I am wrong about this, I would love to hear it. I can't come up with anything.

Well said! If transgenders want to compete then, they should compete with their fellows. Bringing a male transgender to the female sports is an easy win for him. It shouldn't be so.

Although, he's a transgender, he still has the strength of a man and should not be competing with the women.

I think most sensible people that are not blinded by woke-ism feel exactly this way.

Woke-ism shouldn't be allowed to disrupt right and proper judgements.

Not enough people in sports media are talking about this, same as athletes. All fearing a loss of sponsors, which I understand as in the end they need to make a living. But, it is clearly an issue. I have a friend in Canada whose daughter quit after excelling in the swimming team at school for the same reason.

This is so tragic to see and it is only going to grow. Did we just forget how hard women had to work in order to just be able to have women's sports? There was a time not that long ago in the grand scheme of things that women weren't even allowed to compete at all and now men are coming over and making it impossible for them to excel.

Simply wrong on all counts and he has a massive advantage. Imagine me not that I would chopping everything off and joining a women's sports team. The advantage would be nuts not that I would have any anymore but still. We saw that with that loser weight lifter from New Zealand and thankfully he was so bad he lost to other females.

I suspect that he sandbagged in order to try to make a statement that there isn't an advantage. When he/she competes in the future, I expect different results and he/she will just say "I started training harder after that embarrassing loss"

I completely am 100% all in on inclusiveness and I have zero care as to what sexual orientation people want to be. Each to their own. Despite this, I agree that there is a distinct advantage with transgender. I didn't actually know that Caitlyn Jenner had that opinion too.

I presume excluding transgender is seen as not being inclusive which is why people aren't outspoken on the matter. The fact is that it has nothing to do with sexual orientation or identity but because of the unfair advantage. Steriods are banned so this should be banned in the same way.

People are afraid to call this what it is out of fear of being cancelled by the woke mob. I am with you on the "be whatever you want to be" opinion. What's next though? Do we allow 500CC bikes that identify at 150CC bikes into Moto-GP competitions?

😭😭😭 very well said and very true. You won't see that in Moto-GP. Just doesn't make sense.
