The Garuda squad's winning goal was scored by young player Ramai Rumakiek in the 16th minute who managed to use a miftah cross in the first half then Evan Dimas doubled Indonesia's advantage in the second half through Kushedya Hari Yudo's pass. While Taiwan managed to reduce the position through Heng Pin Shu's goal through a free kick scheme in injury time. and the 2-1 score lasted until the match ended with this, Indonesia managed to win in the 1st leg.
This 2-1 victory over Taiwan is a valuable asset for Indonesia for the second leg which is planned to be rolled out on Monday (11/10/2021).
