Basso fastest at qualifying stage of Rally di Roma Capitale

Last year's winner of this round of European Rally Championship in Italy Giandomenico Basso postest fastest time on qualifying special stage after all the fastest drivers choose starting position and on tarmac it is very important because every rally car which passes in front of you brings dirt onto the road and that means more chance for going off road. All of my offs were because of the dirt on the tarmac and too much speed which my tires couldn't handled.

So today we had qualifying stage with more or less expected results. Basso finished fastest, Lukyanuk was 2nd and Andrea Crugnola, who was the theme of my yesterday's post, finished 3rd.

Slovenian Boštjan Avbelj, who is pretty fast driver with not that big experience but always in a top car, finished 14th, faster then some much bigger names.

Oliver Solberg finished 4th and almost got disqualified because of the too much testing without organizers not knowing for testing at all. You can't mess with the FIA.

Tomorrow starts real action. Let the best win - as always...
