Blast from the past - LIVE special stage from WRC Rally Finland 1999

Hi, friends!

Today we go in the year 1999 when real rally stars was still active and when sport was so popular in the media, mainly because of the Colin McRae and his game on Play Station. I started with this practicing my driving skills on that platform and I guess many of you tried that game as well.

Year 1999 was also the last season of domination of Finnish driver Tommi Makinen who won four World Rally Championships in the row and 1999 was the last year of that row.

There was so many good drivers which were like a role models to me, youngsters at that time and Seat's Toni Gardemeister was one of them.

He finished 3rd overall at Rally New Zealand that season and I was watching and being so impressed as a youngster.

Didier Auriol drove for Toyota at that time and he showed at this special stage why was Toyota Corolla WRC so fast and that season Toyota won the manufacturer's crown and finish with the sport of rallying for almost 20 years because they went to Formula 1.

Watch this LIVE special stage and see why WRC Rally Finland has other name as Grand Prix of Finland because those gravel roads were/are super fast.

Please enjoy... :)
