Blast from the past - WRC Monte Carlo 2014

Hi, friends!

Today we go to the past when we had a domination of one World Rally team and one driver. I am talking about Volkswagen with their car Polo WRC and the driver was (and still is) Sebastien Ogier.

Era of one Sebastien (Loeb) was just finished and the time of another Seb (Ogier) has just been started.

That combo was just spectacular, nothing more to say. But season 2014 was one of the first without works involvement of Ford team. They left them cars and some of the technology and let M-Sport to compete under their banner.

They had their main M-Sport team with Mikko Hirvonen and Elfyn Evans as a drivers with another sub-squad called RK M-Sport with Robert Kubica as a driver in it.

They also had one more sub-squad for only rent-a-car drivers but lets talk about other names.

Volkswagen Motorsport drivers were Seb Ogier, Jari-Mati Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen. Citroen Racing guys were Kris Meeke and Mads Ostberg.
Hyundai had Thierry Neuville, Dani Sordo and Kris Atkinson in the team at that time.

It was very interesting time in rallying but with ahead known and predicted winner in Seb Ogier. He was and still is one of two best drivers in the world, no doubt about it.
