Blast from the past - WRC Rally Australia 2001

Hi, friends!

Today we go into the season when rallying was much more popular sport in medias and with much bigger stars and salaries like some footballers.

We had Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz sr who drove for Ford works team, Tommi Makinen and Freddy Loix were drivers of Mitsubishi, Marcus Gronholm and Hari Rovanpera drove for Peugeot, Richard Burns and Markko Martin were drivers of Subaru.

There was also third driver at Ford with name Francois Delecour who always had big accidents in Australia and there was no other way in 2001.

Words can't explain quality of the field so the video is much better to show you how was it almost 20 years ago.

This weekend we have live event - Rally do Roma Capitale and I can't wait for the start of it.
