Blast from the past - WRC Rally Portugal 1989

Hi, friends!

Until today I had no idea that ex-works Lancia driver Alex Fiorio was son of the Lancia Motorsport boss Cesare Fiorio. Well, it's easier that way, when your dad is your boss, don't you think?!

There is another example of son-father connection on today's driver's market. Jan Kopecky is son of one of the top man at Škoda when he was starting his WRC career. But that was well known in motorsport circles and because of Kopecky's calm behavior, no one took him for bad because of his father gave him a chance to compete at highest level.

But I don't like these kind of things. It's kinda stupid. M-Sport Ford boss has son Matthew who also tried WRC career but couldn't do nothing better then 4th place overall on some rallies. Matthew is boss of Bentley program at his fathers company M-Sport.

But back to WRC Rally Portugal where Miki Biasion, twice WRC champion for 1988 and 1989, ashamed the opposition with very big gap from the leading position. Some other interesting names are involved in this video but it's better to watch it and see by yourself.
