ERC champion Ingram to skip Rally di Roma Capitale 2020

Hi, friends!

European Rally Champion for season 2019 Chris Ingram won't be in Rome on the first round of ERC because he still works on his progress into World Rally Championship but it is all about the budget and money, I would say.

It is hard to find big sponsorships these days and for a season of European Rally Championship you need around 300 000€ if you rent the car.

If you decide to buy last spec R5 car, that will cost you around 250 000€ but you need also some spare parts and that means 50 000€.

Then you have to pay rally insurance, tires, fuel, mechanics etc. But in the end you have a car after the season and if you just rent the car, you have nothing after the season.

In my opinion it is the best solution to have own car and drive it for a few seasons. That way it will be cheaper and you can rent it to someone else also and that way find a money for your outings.

But if you want to be professional, then find the budget and just drive because drivers just drive and nothing else.

Ingram will skip Rome but he will be probably back for some rounds of ERC.
