Estonian Tanak leads WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2023 after super special stage

avatar

Hi, friends!

It won't be easy for any of the crews from Safari Rally Kenya which just started with the short less then 5km super special stage for the fans because the route is short and audience can see most of the action from the stage.

When I saw a big watersplash on the opening stage, I just reminded myself on what we had to deal with at Sardinia. And I think that crews could have a mud bath at dome of the stages at Safari. But let leave this to the weather they will face off at Kenyan wilderness.

So Ott Tanak (Ford Puma Rally1) posted a fastest time at SSS1 with only 0.1s in front of Seb Ogier (Toyota Yaris Rally1). Current WRC champion Kalle Rovanpera (Toyota Yaris Rally1) was 3rd fastest while fastest Hyundai was of Thierry Neuville.

Real action starts tomorrow with six hard special stages. Crews will have to drive with brain because being fast in Kenya means easy car breaking.

Let the best win - as always...
