Evans leads WRC Rally Japan 2022 after first day of competition

It finally started good for Toyota 's Welshman Elfyn Evans who just couldn't find the way to be on the top of some of WRC rallies this season. He was working hard and it seems that this is finally paying off for him.

Hyundai' s Thierry Neuville is also having a good rally and he is only 3s behind rally leader Evans. This year's champion Kalle Rovanpera is further 2.1s behind Neuville.

World Rally champion from season 2019 Ott Tanak is also very close to the lead and the gap to Evans is only 13.9s. Rally favorite Seb Ogier is more then two minutes behind with some problems on the special stage two.

He is currently in 10th place but chances for the win or a podium are already gone.

There was a big finalle in WRC2 category for this rally between Emil Lindholm and Kajetan Kajetanowicz. Pokish driver crashed into the post just after the exit of the tunnel and his rally is over.

Lindholm now needs just to take enough points to come ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen who's season is already over

We still have two more days of rally. Let the best win - as always...
