First test of Toyota Yaris Rally2 car with Juho Haninen

Toyota World Rally Team started with serious development of their Rally2 machinery after they realized how big market for this category cars is all across the world.

If you take how much cars cost, then you realize that there is a potential for the manufacturer to earn a lot of money. The other side is promotion of the brand because these cars are for the national championships in the first pkace and fans, watching these rally machines, opt to buy a road car, the same model as this rally car.

That's tge reason why there is so much Rally2 cars on the market currently and I don't see the way how someone can push them from the homologation lists. The only way is if thr FIA brings some new technology on the market as hydrogen, bioethanol or hybrid systems even in the Rally2 class.

Toyota sent their team with their leading development and testing driver Juho Haninen on the gravel roads of Portugal for the initial development gravel tests.

Don't forget that this car is in its starting phase so it will be done lot of work before the homologation process in 2024.
