Lappi tested with Toyota ahead of WRC Rally Finland 2021

Hi, friends!

I always liked wet gravel rally tests because that is the surface which shows who has the guts, feeling and abilities for the works seat. Because if you are not good enough, no money can help you to earn the World Rally Championship crown. And that's what every rally driver wants as a trophy.

Esapekka Lappi has abilities to fight upfront but some terrible mistakes and choices ruined his career. First mistake that he made is when he left Toyota, the team which gave him a chance to drive the WRC crown, for Citroen, the team which just couldn't deliver results with that C3 WRC because there was some mistake in the development and when you can't make the balance of the car, that's something with the development of the chassis.

After Citroen left the series, Lappi was without the job but with money from the contract and with free hands to sign for whoever he wanted.

He signed for 2020 with the only available team and I am talking about M-Sport Ford. They were not that bad at that time but coronavirus ruined the world and sports as well. That for sure didn't help Esapekka Lappi who's team of M-Sport Ford had terrible loses because of coronavirus pandemic and they couldn't afford to test much as they had to.

No testing means no good results and that ruined Lappi's chances for a drive in this season. But Finnish rally team calle Printsport helped him with the two WRC2 outings at Arctic Rally Finland and Rally Portugal which are the rallies where Lappi won both in WRC2 class.

That brought him a drive with Toyota on his native WRC Rally Finland which starts soon. Lappi tested recently and we have a video to see how he did at the test and what we can expect soon on this famous gravel rally of Finland.

Enjoy...
