Hi, friends!

Russian rally ace and ex-European Rally Champion Alexey Lukyanuk won first round of European Rally Championship ran in Italy around city of Rome.

Lukyanuk was leading from the special stage one until the end of the rally. He lifted his right foot from the gas pedal on the whole day two because there is no need for another crash after he lost last year because of pushing too much sometimes and not finishing the rallies.

They say that in motorsport if you want to win, you must finish first. I agree with this 100%. My last two outings were two DNFs. (DNF-did not finish)

Basso was battling only for Italian Championship so he didn't even try to fight with Lukyanuk. He probably waiter for another Luky's shunt so that he can cruise to the finish.

From what I heard, Italian Championship was counted for two separate days as they had two rallies.

Crugnola won most of the stages on 2nd day so it is real shame that he went of on day one.

Oliver Solberg finished 3rd overall so that means that he is heading in the right direction.
