Mikkelsen started with testing of Pirelli WRC 2021 tires

Hi, friends!

I am back after five days of terrible suffering with my belly. Happily rally sports continue with progress after coronavirus pandemic break.

New World Rally Championship supplier for tires Pirellli started to test their rubber because in six months they have to be ready for Minte Carlo Rally. But when we look at WRC calendar, we can see that most of the events are on gravel so they started with test on gravel surface of Sardinia.

I already wrote that Pirelli chose Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen for the testing role. They needed sone one who won on the WRC level and who is without job at the moment because Mikkelsen lost his seat at Hyundai at the end of the last season.

Now he has a chance to train himself driving WRC machinery all the time, and what is maybe more important, he will know the tires before everyone else.

Car is Citroen C3 WRC, the car that wasn't the best and even six times WRC champion Ogier couldn't make it better with his knowledge and experience so he left for Toyota.

It0s nice to see Citroen and Pirelli back on the gravel roads again...
