Neuville tested with Hyundai Rally1 machinery ahead of WRC Monte Carlo Rallye 2022

Hi, friends!

Thierry Neuville from Belgium had really tough accident when they crashed during the first test ahead for Monte Carlo Rallye which starts in five weeks. The crash was so bad that the car felt down the cliff into the river, thirty meters from the road.

His regular co-driver Martijn Wydaeghe finished in the hospital with the broken collarbone so he had to go home to Belgium soon after the release from the hospital to have a surgery as soon as possible.

Everything went well and he revealed that he will be ready for the Monte Carlo Rally in January which starts in five weeks. That's something good in all this situation.

In the meantime, Neuville will test with the replacement co-driver which is guy from his gravel crew. He needs as many miles as possible in a new car because hybrid rally cars championship is just behind the corner.

There is another thing connected with his team of Hyundai. They still don't have the team boss after Italian Andrea Adamo left that place a few weeks ago. There was some speculation that Toyota's technical director Tom Fowler will take that place but he revealed today that there won't be anything from there. He will keep his job at Toyota.

So Neuville tested today again and I am sure that he will test a few more times again in the next five weeks before Monte start.

I found three videos from the test. Watch and enjoy...
