No engine upgrade for M-Sport Ford until season 2023

Hi, friends!

We have three Rally1 teams in the World Rally Championship - Toyota, Hyundai and M-Sport Ford. I am talking about the premier class of the sport. Two of them are fully works - Toyota and Hyundai while M-Sport Ford is a semi-works/private team with the support of Ford.

M-Sport is running the program for Ford from season 1997 and they developed their first WRC car called Ford Escort WRC. They had really successful cooperation but they had first driver's champion in Seb Ogier in 2017 and 2018. All those big guys couldn't bring them the driver's trophy but now they achieved even that.

Now they have another Seb with surname Loeb which is also a nine-time WRC champion. He brought them the only win this season - at Mont4e Carlo Rallye in January. Their other drivers just can't deliver what the team needs so they are waiting for another Loeb's outing which will be this month at Acropolis Rally to see how strong is their engine at the moment.

Their opponents already introduced the engine upgrades for the Rally Estonia this summer but guys from M-Sport wait for the FIA decision about the new fuel and then they will invest into the engine development.

If there was no Loeb (and Breen on some rallies), they would bein a big depression. Let's see what the future brings...
