O. Tanak won Otepää talveralli 2023

Hi, friends!

It seems that guys from semi-works/private team called M-Sport Ford think serious about this season because firstly they signed 2019 World Rally champion Ott Tanak for this season (I heard that it is for more then one season) and now they decided to go for testing on the events of national rally championships despite their, all the time, budget problems.

This time they sent two of their drivers to Tanak's home event called Otepää talveralli 2023 in his native country Estonia. He was always super quick on the super quick and flowing special stages so this came to him like a good training on snow ahead of the only pure snow event of the WRC calendar - Rally Sweden.

He wasn't the only one sent to that local rally. M-Sport Ford privateer Jourdain Serderidis went their also but finished only 17th with more then 11m behind the winner Tanak.

I must add that last year's surprise from Estonia Georg Linnamae had a great rally finishing 2nd overall with 2m44s behind Ott Tanak. Linnamae shone very bright on Rally Sweden last year so I expect to see him there this season also. He drove Hyundai i20 Rally2 on this rally instead of his usual car Volkswagen Polo R5.

It is also important to say that Linnamae drives for Ott Tanak's and Markko Martin's team called Red-Grey Team which lost the connection with Hyundai for the official drive after Tanak broke his contract with Hyundai at the end of the last season.
