Ogier leads WRC Monte Carlo Rallye 2022 after Thursday special stages

Hi, friends!

It seems that it's all about name Sebastien in the World Rally Championship because two Sebs - Ogier and Loeb won fifteen championships together, Loeb nine and Ogier eight. You just can't say which one is the better. When you look at the numbers, Loeb is still better with more rally wins and one more championship won.to his name.

But what about Monte Carlo Rallye 2022?
It's just more of the same. It all started with shakedown this morning and the order was the same when we look at results. Seb Ogier was fastest with Seb Loeb behind him with gap of just 0.5s.

Elfyn Evans finished 3rd on the shakedown, same as after first two special stages ran in the dark. Evans is playing a clever game knowing that two Sebs are not doing the whole season, just a few rallies this and there so he knows that the championship battle is very long and he wants to be the winner at the end of the line.

M-Sport Ford guys impressed the best when looking at the teams. Their Seb Loeb shows that car is very good but all three their drivers behind Loeb - Adrien Fourmaux, Gus Greensmith and Craig Breen showed a strong pace and they are all in the top 7. I don't remember the day when M-Sport had four drivers in the top 7 and I follow this sport for probably 30 years.

Hyundai was the worst team out there with Thierry Neuville only 7th after two special stages in the dark while Ott Tanak was only 8th. There was a big oil spot after Neuville left the time control and it seems that he has an oil leak somewhere from his car.

Rally has just started and we have three long days of action until we will know the winner. Let the best win - as always...
