Welshman Elfyn Evans is having a renaissance from when he joined Toyota WRC squad. I mean, he had really good progress at M-Sport Ford but that team is for young drivers to progress. They don't pay drivers, they have to pay to them to drive these days. And that is not a professionalism.

Evans is now under contract and have a salary and that means he is not under pressure of how to survive in the sport. Economy is brutal in motorsport in the last 15-20 years. My opinion is that only top talents and drivers should drive for the works teams. And all other should be in smaller and private outfits making their career and progress up.

Evans did just that and then entered into high-fi team of Toyota. In their 2nd rally he scored his 2nd win of career and first for Toyota. That was in Sweden in February this year.

I found one of his onboards from Monte Carlo in January this year where he was super quick.
