Onboard rally video of the day - Jesus Puras with Citroen Xsara F2 kit car at WRC Rally Spain 1999

Do you know that there was a time in history of rallying when the lower F2 category cars were beating a premium WRC cars. Yeah that was in the late nineties when F2 cars with screaming atmospheric engines were very popular.

Peugeot had a podium results in WRC with their 306 Maxi and the drivers were Francois Delecour and Gilles Panizzi. They regularly beat much stronger competition at tarmac because F2 cars were just front-wheel drice machinery.

Citroën introduced their Xsara kit car in 1998 and it was quick from beginning but little bit unreliable in early days. Later they improved thar area and their two drivers - Philippe Bugalski and Jesus Puras always pushed that car to the limits.
