Onboard rally video of the day - Petter Solberg with Citroen Xsara WRC at Rally Spain 2009

Season 2009 was the first one to see the Norwegian Petter Solberg as a privateer. He won the World Rally Championship in 2003 but after that it was all about the domination of Citroen and their driver Sebastien Loeb.

Solberg's team of Subaru pulled out of the WRC at the end of 2008 because of the global economic crises and he was left without a job. He bought Citroen Xsara WRC from Citroen Racing and formed his own team called Petter Solberg World Rally Team.

But I must be honest, without a professional team where won't be any bigger results so that is the reason why he never again won the WRC rally. He should drive for less money but in the works team and for name like Petter Solberg, I am sure that tere would be a place at Ford or Citroen.

Citroen already had their model C4 WRC so this Xsara WRC was already a little bit an old car. That was another reason why he couldn't have a better results.

Anyway, driver was great, his Xsara was a nice car so lets see his drive from the WRC Rally Catalunya Spain as today's onboard rally video of the day.
