Onboard rally video of the day - T. Katsuta with Toyota Yaris Rally1 at shakedown of WRC Rally Japan 2022

Hi, friends!

Japanese rally driver waited for so long to start the WRC rally on his home ground and now it finally happened after two years of postponing because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now, when the things are kinda better, the rally is on the go and we can see lots of spectators on the special stages (with masks, of course but they are there).

Katsuta made tremendous progress during the last two or three seasons after he became a Toyota protegee as Japanese driver, because they always wanted to have one top Japanese driver in the team.

He is still not in the main squad but in the NG (Next Generation) Team but he is with all the other Toyota guys in the service zone. His main goal this season was a progress on tarmac, especially after the crash on Ypres Rally Belgium.

He did that and he is doing that right bow in Japan because Japanese round of the World Rally Championship is a tarmac surfaced event.
