Rally video of the day - Sordo's Hyundai i20 Rally1 car burnt to the ground

I don't know if there is a worse smell in your rally car then the smell od gasoline inside of your cockpit. And it seems that this was the reason why the car got cought by the fire.

Spaniard Dani Sordo felt a smell of gasoline as early as on Thursday, reported that to the team but he also got a green light to start with the rally.

On the first special stage of the day today, his Hyundai started to smell badly inside of the cockpit and it was the smell of fumes. He instantly stopped, pulled the handbrake and tried to stop the fire with the extinguisher but it wasn't enough.

When the next car came onto the fire scene (it was Gus Greensmith 's Ford Puma Rally1, he borrowed another extinguisher but it was all over.

The car was already in a big flames. There is a video of a complete incident and you can watch it here. It is a shame that Sordo lost his rally this way...
