Solans still working on full European Rally Championship program

Hi, friends!

It's obvious that Spaniard Nil Solans m is a top rally driver. He decided to start this season of European Rally Championship with the first round in Portugal called Rally de Fafe. He won it comfortably but the next round Azores Rally he was watching from his home because he didn't have a funds for that rally.

From this case you can see that even ex-Junior WRC champion like Nil Solans can't find sponsorship funds easily. He was leading ERC after the first round but couldn't contest the next round because of no money in the pocket.

He drives Volkswagen Polo R5, the car which is our of the production but obviously still very quick machinery. I can tell you that rent of this car costs 100€ per racing kilometer. You must add cost of the tires and insurance and you can easily come to 35k-40k Euro per event.

This is not big money for the big firms but rallying is not big in the media and that's still a problem with the sport.

At least we know that Nil Solans will drive this weekend at Spanish round of the European Rally Championship called Rally Azores. That is his home round where he probably knows the roads like his pocket.

He also revealed that he doesn't have season sorted and that he lacks money for the drive (same as all we rally drivers).
