Suninen tested with Hyundai ahead of WRC Rally Monza 2021

Hi, friends!

Finn Teemu Suninen quit his job at M-Sport Ford a few moths ago after they gave him to drive only WRC2 class for the rest of the season after more then three seasons in a premier WRC class.

He thought that this was humiliating after everything he did for them but the truth is that his drive was paid by his manager in the first seasons with the team.

Now they have a new muse in the Frenchman Adrien Fourmaux so Suninen was outnumbered. I think that they were quite relaxed after Suninen left the team because they had to cooperate with unhappy driver in the team.

In a meantime, Suninen got an offer for a drive at Hyundai and with their i20 Rally2 car. OK, that's the same class as he got offered at M-Sport Ford but, at leas, he doesn't feel humiliated.

He did good at Catalunya Spain scoring 2nd placed in a WRC2 class and I would say that guys from Hyundai were happy with that result because that car is still under development. That was the reason they offered him another outing with the same car, but this time for the last rally of the season, at Monza.

After Ott Tanak revealed that he won't be present in Monza because of the family problems, Hyundai management offered WRC drive to Teemu Suninen who was really happy because of that.

He was testing these days and we have a video from the test. Enjoy...
