Total domination by Kalle Rovanpera (Toyota) at WRC Islas de Canarias 2025

Hi, friends!

From thirteen special stages (plus shakedown), Finnish driver and double World Rally champion Kalle Rovanpera was fastest at twelve of them (plus shakedown). What more to say about this? It seems that last year, when he had part time drive with his team Toyota, and when he was doing all kind of activities at tarmac (drift series, circuit racing) helped him to improve his tarmac skills which he is showing at every km he did so far in Spain, at Canary Island.

His team mate and current championship leader Elfyn Evans (Toyota) managed to be fastest at last special stage of today, short super special and that's everything Rovanpera gave to competition.

Toyota drivers dominated today and now we have Toyota 1-2-3-4-5 in front of Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai) and his team mates Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak. I would say that Hyundai's team boss Cyril Abiteboul is one to blame there because he started to be more concentrated to next year's circuit racing program then to develop their Rally1 car. Last year there was so much political fights from his team with statements that they will leave the sport etc.

Yeah they can leave if they don't like promotion from it, which is huge, to be honest. But let we leave their problems to their headquarters of Hyundai WRC team.

M-Sport Ford is in deep crises with their two drivers Gregoire Munster and Joshua McErlean both outside of top 10, and with WRC2 drivers in front of them.

Tomorrow is the last day of rally and anything can happen because this is motorsport and man and machine fight together.

Let the best win - as always...

I agree with you on Hyundai. They should keep it in their HQ..
