Hivechess Tournament Season 22 Round 1: @sammy00 and @maestroask were the winners!

Dear chess fans,

yesterday the first round of S22 was played, for the first time as two separate tournaments (you can check out the rules in the announcement post).
In total 19 players were joining, not too bad overall (last season it was 18 in round 1) but only 7 were in the Masters which is a lttle on the low end.

In the Masters which had an average rating of 2149, more than every second game was berserked (5min seems a too long time for many😄). @maestroask - not unexpectedly - won with hardly any real competition, as many strong players like @jaki01 or @eniolw were missing (I hope they can join in future rounds). The result looks closer than it was - our IM had joined only half-way through the tournament and still was able to catch the top spot. I was the runner-up, ahead of @tangibleay and @samostically (who suffered from connection problems).

In the Challengers there were 12 players with an average rating of 1567. The berserk rate was "only" 37%, largely driven by winner @sammy00 who - after 2 initial losses - berserked his way to the top! He won with 5 points lead ahead of @justola1, @odic3o1 and @rafaelaquino. Congratulations to All!
