This Friday, the 22th March, at the usual time there will be a Chess960 tournament for all Hivers! Or will it be Chess960? Maybe let´s pick another variant?
OPEN TO ALL SKILL LEVELS. You just need a (free) Lichess-account and to join our team (password is "Hive"). 25% of the rewards of this post again go into the next season´s prize fund and 25% to the Hivechess HBD savings account on @chesspricepool!
In addition every participant gets a bonus point counting for the upcoming season 18 (if at least 4 games have been played)!
The winner gets 400 COLONY right away sent into his Hive-engine wallet, the second 200 and the third 100! COLONY is the utility token of the new arcade-style NFT gaming platform from the makers of Splinterlands.
Mode: 3+1 (3 minutes per game, 1 sec. increment per move), 60 min. XXXXXXX arena with no streaks, rated.

BREAKING NEWS: On X there was a live-stream showing a quadriplegia patient (cannot move anything below the shoulder!) with an implanted brain interface from Elon Musk´s Neuralink playing chess just by thinking the moves! Quite amazing, isn´t it. One level higher than apes playing pong ("mindpong").
For such patients this is a huge improvement in their life, but it may open up a direction that ultimately can be harmful. Dangerous or the fate of humans anyway, what do you think?

Interesting news down there. Yes, can be quite harmful when brains can kill people without a blink of an eye. To me then still it's the machine and their programmers who bear the responsibility, not the lonely brain. Anyway. I've seen the invitation and am not quite sure whether I make it, but at least I already know you'll be there. I love Chess960! (While I recently discovered Shogi through Dobutsu Shogi and that's fascinating, too. ;-)

As always, technology has two sides like a coin. It can either be good or evil but it depends on who uses it. The benefits of nueralink is real as we can see that it helps people who need it. On the other hand, it can also be harmful and I can imagine a lot of scenarios where it can be used for purposes other than good.
