A Walk Through an Ancient Forest (My Actifit Report Card: December 1)

Hi everyone,

Today I wanted to do something new, and therefore I went for a walk through an ancient forest.

My city is located in the middle of an huge old forest, called Codrii Vlăsiei. This forest was a place of retreat during the age of migrations because they were not easy to cross on horseback. Now, only few sections survived the development boom, and they are in danger.

Yes, some would think that late autumn might not be the perfect time to visit it, but a forest always has its beauty.

The entry point for this trip was this small road, going deep into the forest:

These trees should be a reminder for us of the beauty of the nature, and how important should be for us to fight to save and conserve the natural forests.

Another beautiful thing with this place is that the old forest ends at a beautiful lake, where a family of ducks came to salute the few people that were brave to be here, despite the cold winds of December:
