steevc just finished a 13.23km run, that lasted for 81 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 950.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
The parkrun was cancelled again due to flooding and I did not run yesterday, but I have done a lot of walking this week. I wanted to do a long run today and aimed for about 11km. It ended up a bit longer.

I did a variation on my usual loop around the villages. It was a lovely bright, but cold, morning. There was some frost on cars, but the paths were fine. I jogged up the hill to Fairfield. There I have the low sun flashing through the trees to one side, which can be a little annoying.Maybe I need my sunglasses.

There were a lot of other runners out there. Although I run the same routes I see lots of different people rather than the same ones. That indicates there are a lot of runners about. Some will be training for events, but I just run all year. I do have a 10km coming up next month, so I want to be ready for that.

I went through what I call the 'new estate' in Stotfold, but it has been there about 15 years now. They have a couple of play areas for the kids. We recently got a new one near us, but my kids are far too old for that. I did not see the ducks that normally hang around by the stream.

I went around the north side of Stotfold and then towards Astwick where I have to run on the road as there is no path. It is a really quiet road though. It takes me to the track that runs straight across the fields towards Etonbury school. On Friday I took the new shortcut over the bridge on the bypass that comes out by the school when I was going for a haircut, but I took the long was around today.

Back in Arlesey I took the direct route as I had had enough. My hit tendon was sore and I need to look at exercises for that. I felt fine one I had got home and had breakfast plus a shower. I do have chores to do today.

Enjoy your day and run free!

I hope the flood reduces or goes finally so you can get to see runners like you again

One time I trained to do 12k’s in under 1 hour, for our annual city to bay run

My best may be around 11k in an hour, but I might have done better if I had been a runner when I was young.

I think you could do that run even now, as it’s 12k all down hill and you can hold 4min 45 sec k’s all the way.

Happens in September if you’re up for a holiday down under

I don't think I can run at that pace for long, even down a hill. I'm happy enough with how I'm doing as I'm not out to win races.

I have been finding it difficult to have a consistent run routine

It's so nice to be out in the sun like this after a cold winter and it's so relaxing to sit in.
