steevc just finished a 10.07km run, that lasted for 62 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 785.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I felt a bit drained after my exertions yesterday, but I needed to get a run in today. It was fairly mild out, but we did have a little rain last night.

I started off by taking the new road that crosses the bypass bridge to get to Stotfold near Etonbury school. The bench has been in the woods for a few years and it is a nice area to walk. It was not too muddy through there.

Once up on the road I diverted to explore some of the side streets. There are some whole new roads with new houses. The first development is quite big. Some of the streets have no proper footpath, which I consider to be a bad thing. I wonder if they will extend the paths there are to get to the woods. The next road is an old one and has mostly bungalows. I wonder if some were 'pre-fabs' built after the war that have been improved over the years.

There is another, small new development on the way to Fairfield. Most of the houses there had full height windows on the front, which is not a common sight.

My legs were a bit tired and the long climb to Fairfield was hard work. I just kept on going. I saw a few other runners along the way including one guy with a child in a pushchair.

Back in Arlesey I tried to stretch the distance out to 10km with some back street diversions. I still needed a little dogleg at the end to make it.

I was done by the time I got home for breakfast.

I was having some issues with the Strava site, but it looks like the 'shields' in the Brave browser were blocking it, so I turned them off. The site does not have much in the way of advertising anyway. I find Brave makes for a better web experience, especially in getting rid of ads on Youtube.

Any musicians may be interested in a contest on Hive with big prizes. Get in touch if you want to get in on that.

Have a good Sunday and run free!

Glad to hear you pushed through! It's always a great feeling of accomplishment when you do it! You made it through all ten, congratulations! The nice part is you still have time to work on the time. I respect you for still being able to run, I wish I could.

They don't have trails through the forest? That would be nice if the road is old and lousy.

There are trails there, but I think they should connect to the new developments.

It is very good when a person motivates himself and gets colorful every day and it keeps our health very good.

The bench has been in the woods for a few years...

That bench does look like it's from a time long gone. Is this one of those "in memoriam" benches?

I don't think it's in memory of anyone. I think it was installed when the wood was made accessible. It survived someone trying to set fire to it. This is part of a local 'green wheel' where you can walk around the villages.

Well done Steve! I should use Brave a lot more especially if it removes adverts in YouTube. I’ll perhaps cancel my premium membership as creators don’t get paid what they fairly deserve.
