steevc just finished a 5.45km run, that lasted for 35 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 410.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I am not working today, so could have a bit of a lie-in. It was looking a little brighter out there, but overcast. It could be a good day for my solar panels.

After feeding the chickens I set off down the village with the intention of doing some interval runs up the hill on West Drive. I have not done this workout for a while and that may be part of why I have been a bit slower lately.

The workout is to go as fast as I can between the first road hump and the set of bollards over 300m and about 6m of climb. At my best I can get up there at under 5min/km, but I am a bit off that at the moment. I need to do it more often to improve.

It was quite nice out there anyway. I saw a couple of other runners plus people going to school or work.

I had a look at the path to the railway as I came back. There used to be a lot of trees there, but it has been cleared for building now. A lot of people have complained about this, but we have known for years that it would happen. There will be new roads linking up parts of the village and that may take some load off the High Street.

I shall be doing a few things around the house today, but also want to practice some drumming. We have a band rehearsal at the weekend and I will take the new kit.

Enjoy your Friday and run free!

I was hoping to be able to run for four minutes straight this morning, but I just couldn't do it. I had to stick to three. I was actually going to do weights this morning, but I hurt my back yesterday so my wife said I should probably just stick to walking.

i was just able to jog for about 1.5 to 2 mins early last week and then fell off the wagon thanks to some stuff at work which is taking up all my time. I fear my limit had reduced again and will need to climb that hill all over again :(

Stick with 3 for a for sessions and it may get easier. Be careful with your back.

Thanks! This one isn't where my back usually goes out, so it is a bit weird for me. I might try to get a walk in this weekend, so I will keep that in mind about the three minutes. I think I have said this before, but I really need to start doing some stretching before and after I use the treadmill.
