Description from Strava:
The weather has been very variable this week. It has varied between freezing and a few degrees warmer. Today was the latter, but with the threat of rain. I actually missed my run on Tuesday as I overslept. I think I forgot to set my alarm.
The rain held off for my run today as I did my usual Fairfield loop. It did start off fairly dark, but got brighter. The road up to there was really muddy a while back, but is almost clear now.
I saw a few other runners out there. It is a good place to run as it is mostly away from roads and you only have to cross one busy road if doing the full loop of the estate as that is the only way in and out apart from couple of private entrances to parts that have automatic gates and not much traffic.
Someone still had lights up outside their house, but most have been taken down now.
It was a fairly good run and I am happy with the pace. I am doing various other exercises to build general strength. I was doing planks during commercial breaks whilst watching TV last night and I do squats whilst brushing my teeth. You can fit exercise into any lifestyle and even a little can boost your health. I sit all day for work, so I need to do something.

I always forget to start the activity on my Garmin watch before I get going on the treadmill. Today I was about halfway through my session when I remembered that I didn't start it. I'm really bummed because I wanted to record the information. We woke up to a temp of -7 this morning!
It doesn't get that cold here very often and I'm happy with how it is now. I am pretty good at remember to start the watch, but have left it running after I get back a few times. In Strava you can at least trim an activity. We should not really get so hung up on recording everything, but it can be addictive.
I'm still learning and I want to set a good baseline for where I am at now. Otherwise I wouldn't really care about the info. It still tracks my steps and heart rate even if it didn't specifically classify it as a workout. The other day I used the treadmill and I was beat afterwards, the Garmin watch labeled it as "light aerobic recovery". I beg to differ!
