Description from Strava:
I was at the pub jam session last night and it was fun. As I do not play much guitar at home I have not learnt any new songs in a while, so I went back through my folder of those I have done previously. Some of those need more practice. I mostly play drums at home these days.

I could see it was raining a little this morning, but it was just the odd spot and so I was not put off. I was doing my usual interval runs up the local hill. That is always hard work, but I have to push myself to improve. There are always a few people going up and down who might think I am a bit odd, but that is okay. The place at the top had some lights around their door. I think it is some kind of hostel/clinic.

I was listening to Somewhere on Earth Podcast and it was nice to hear my name mentioned as I left them a comment on FB. I know they do not use Twtr any more, but they are on various other social media. I am only checking FB now and again as I find it frustrating. I prefer open platforms like Mastodon and Hive, so find me on those.

I was not too wet when I got home, but I could feel I had been working hard. I did not really feel the cold. There was snow around the other night, but I did not see any.

I will have to see if parkrun is on this week. I would like to get to some other locations, but will see if I have time.

I am hoping for a DHL delivery today. They tried once when I was out and then came the next day when I was there, but did not ring the doorbell! Their web site is designed so you cannot actually type messages as I expect they get some abuse. I just want my package.

Stay dry and run free!

Getting packages delivered has become and more frustrating situation over the past couple of years. It seems they are always screwing up something!

We do get a lot more stuff delivered these days. I think the couriers are under a lot of pressure so will not spend more than a few seconds trying to see if anyone is home. I would not want that job.

No, I wouldn't want the job either. I know a guy that got a job with FedEx a while ago. They basically told him he needed to keep a jar in the back of the truck to pee in because stopping and finding a restroom took up too much time. He quit on the spot.

It's very convenient to write up a run on Strava and have a Hive post generated. A few people use it.

BTW I have read a few Borges stories :)

If it's Amazon purchase, we tend to use the drop lockers at supermarkets now, it's a lot more convenient not having to stay in, and hubby says there's no minimum charge for free delivery which is great for small purchases

I don't tend to use Amazon, but some places have an option to deliver to a local shop, which may be a better option. I'm waiting to see when they will try again. It varies on whether they will just leave it. At least with the video doorbell we can see them.

Sounds like a busy couple of days between the jam session and the run.

I don't get news from there. I go to sources I can trust such as actual journalists.

many journalists are just too into politics to report neutral news... so i skip a majority
